Starting a business can be one of the biggest challenges of your life. We know this because our organization is comprised of former business owners and professionals who have experienced the situations you will be facing.
Since 1964, SCORE-Counselors to America’s Small Business have been assisting individuals like you to start or expand a business. As part of this nationwide organization, North Dakota SCORE chapters offer free and confidential business counseling and low-cost workshops for our state’s entrepreneurs.
SCORE is proud to work in concert with other North Dakota public and private organization to offer would be and existing entrepreneurs the support and advice they need to grow and expand their business. These savvy volunteers have the knowledge and experience that can help you grow and prosper. Their reward is watching you, the entrepreneur, succeed. “Your success is their success!

What is SCORE
SCORE “Counselors to America’s Small Business” is a nonprofit association dedicated to educating entrepreneurs and the formation, growth and success of small business nationwide. SCORE is a resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and was started in 1964.
In North Dakota SCORE has chapters in Bismarck Mandan, Fargo, Minot and Grand Forks and satellite sites in Jamestown and Devils Lake and has over 100 volunteers, both working and retired executives and business owners who donate their time and expertise as business counselors and mentors

SCORE Volunteers
With over 100 members in North Dakota and 11,200 volunteer counselors nationwide SCORE has more than 600 business skills. Volunteers are working or retired business owners, executives and corporate leaders who share their wisdom and lessons learned in business and join SCORE to “give back” to their community.
